Fountain of Wicker Park 9/3/2016
It was a Saturday morning paint out with the Plein Air Painters of Chicago, about half the group stayed on the street painting the iconic Flat Iron Building or the Blue Line El-Train stop there on Damen. A group of us decided to step away from the hard edged lines of the urban-scape and celebrate summer in the park. Did you know that the neighborhood of Wicker Park Chicago actually has a hidden gem of a park called, believe it or not, Wicker Park. This fountain is on the west end of the park.
Back in the day, before Wicker Park got gentrified, I lived just around the corner from this park. The loft I lived in was just above the location used as the record store in the movie High Fidelity.
